We get creative in the process of saving as many stalks as possible. Inlaying epoxy seals all cracks and imperfections but still keeping a very light weight rigid walking stick. All our walking sticks are deceivingly light., usually weighing no more than 2 pounds. The more rigid staffs are for the aggressive hiker who rely on their stick for stability .Other walking sticks we make are for the casual hiker who basically just use it for a little extra balance.
